This film was concepted quickly one day when I thought about showing a family of monsters staying in an Airbnb that are just totally normal. With that simple idea we were off to the races. We worked with Kim Gehrig to create this beautiful moving film, shot just north of Vancouver, featuring the track “Beautiful Stranger” by Kevin Morby and even were able to slip in a clip from the animated film, The Iron Giant. A subtle nod to a misunderstood creature.
